London’s Soft Edges (Emma Day 4)2/18/2020 Something I have noticed that I love about London is how round it is. Everywhere you look, London seems to curve and bend. Taxi cars and buses with rounded edges carry people wearing hats like little semi circles of wool perched on their foreheads, while the sharpness of their elbows and chins disappear into puffy, rounded jackets and scarves. Shops curve around street corners with large round cyclinder like structures, often made almost entirely of windows. Bright red phone booths seem to erupt from the sidewalks, extending up into rounded and curving tops. The architecture of the buildings curve into spirals that roll off roofs. Inside the Piccadilly bookstore, the stair case spirals up through several floors. The books still have corners though.
