Egyptian Tummies(Emma Day 2)2/16/2020 “Look at her little tummy” I said, peering through the glass. In the Egyptian room of the British Museam, I studied the small drawings of Egyptian men and women. The egyptian women pictured handing glass bowls to the others in the drawings had little lines across their middles that gave them slightly protruding stomachs. These tiny lines sparked an interest, and I scanned the rest of the drawings and found more women with protruding tummies and rolls. I suddenly wondered about everything in between the ancient egyptians and the magazine cover girl we are so used to seeing in every store front.
