Today, all around, was spectacular. We had an amazing workshop with Shaun Dunne. I love the work he’s done, I think it’s really important. After, we had a walking tour, and as time dragged on my heart started beating faster and faster. I was seeing my old teacher, one of the most impactful teachers I’ve ever had, in 30 minutes...15 minuets...when we turn the bend. I see Ms. Elaine and run up to her, forgetting about the tour. It’s awkward for the first few minutes, because I do have to finish this tour stop, but then we fall into the same comfortable pattern I remember. We catch up, talking about everything from Brexit to J.K. Rowling to mental health. It goes by in a blur, and then she has to go, and I’m still basking in the comfort of our conversation hours later.  Comments are closed.
