A Sad Sky(Emma Day 8)

It feels like the whole world is crying. Rain follows us everywhere. The world lives in a constant wet. Even if the sun soaks up the sidewalks in the day, the clouds pour down upon the earth again overnight. 
“Why so sad??” I ask the sky. It’s a little bit beautiful though, just as tears on cheeks can also be a little bit beautiful. I watch the rain drops trace paths, like snakes racing across the glass of the dome. They sliver slantways, manipulated by the wind. All of Belfast is a little gray. But later, as we walk back to the hotel, wet and down trodden, the sun makes an appearance. Hello!
