Travel Day- quite the journey

As the whole group dredged through the cold, rainy streets, I was feeling pretty discouraged. We were tired, greasy, and cranky, the rest of the day seemed completely out of reach. But as we rounded the corner in China town we heard familiar music. As the guitarist continued, we realized it was hit song, All of Me by Sam Smith. This was when I felt that everything was falling into place. This was the first moment we could all connect to one thing.  Not only was the dining so much fun for us, but seeing the smiles on the musicians’ faces was amazing. We not only got to connect with each other but also with people we had never seen and will probably never see again. I think that’s when we also started to connect with the community that we will be in for the next week-ish.
